I've got 12 pairs of QED Systemlines connected to my Sonos system (now
up t=
o
6 zones, so some ZPs are driving more than 1 set of speakers). I suspect
ceiling speakers will never be true audiophile quality unless you spend mad
amounts of money, but I'm really happy with the way they sound. My
ceiling=
s
are all Fermacell anyway, so a little more study than PB, and I packed out
behind the speakers with Rockwool (mostly to prevent the sound going up
through the floor). As others have said, the sound is a bit 'high', but
th=
e
bass isn't bad. Cranking all the speakers up to max in party mode *really*
is very noisy :-)

Just taken a look at the KEF Ci160s!
At =A3132 each that's =A3264 a room, with 10 rooms to do that's quite a
bit=
of
cash!

Surely the frequency response is going to be compromised anyway by putting
them in tiny enclosures in the ceiling?
Are you getting the idea that I don't really want to spend that much
money?=
=20
:-)

Tracey

I have the kep Ci160's all over the house - except for one of the ensuites
where I put a single stereo unit in (about =A360)

Basically, the cheaper is "brighter" but there is a serious lack
of low dow=
n
mid and bass. But perfect here as the chances are youre in the shower.
