Ir emitters - any standard?

On a recommendation here, I just got an Philex Omnilink to provide an
Ir "back-channel" down TV coax. It works well, but the plug-in
snake of
Ir emitters only has three emitters.
Is there any standard for the plug/voltage/drive-current of these
things? Can I easily add more emitters with just a passive jack
splitter?
