Guys...there is no definitive right answer...and probably never will
be!
I use:
Windows on my desktop and Homeseer box
Linux for my PBX, file server, web server and firewall.
I am a Linux/Unix professional in an Investment Bank with about 15 years
experience of setting up and administering UNIX and I can honestly say I
am not too bothered which I use (Windows or Linux). Linux can be a pain in
the arse...as Windows can be too!
Pick the right tool for the job....for you! Cost, time, technical ability
and patience are all factors.
