RE: Re: X10 dimmer question

(not sure what will happen if you hold the button).

I think that maybe they will work like the Marmetek ones.. if you hold
it down for more than 1.75 seconds then it assumes it's a latching style
switch and will toggle its status on the next state change. So if you
hold it down initially and it turns a light on, but you then keep it
pressed , when you release the button it will turn the lamp off.

By the way don't know if it is related to the question, their X10^2
wall switches, which are basically Simtone switches with embedded
micro-modules, are also momentary (DT though).

I guess these are similar to the "normal" X10 light switch then,
i.e.
they are Double Throw but each "Throw" is not unique, so a click
up is
the same as a click down.

Hi,

Yea I know thats not what it says in the PDF, but it is what Kevin Lo
says. And I also tested it very briefly and momentary seems to work
(not sure what will happen if you hold the button).

By the way don't know if it is related to the question, their X10^2
wall switches, which are basically Simtone switches with embedded
micro-modules, are also momentary (DT though).

Thanks,
Wayne
