RE: Re: Looking for recommendations for a 26" LCD TV

Thanks Rob, and tops marks for Sony for using discretes, makes life so
much
easier when using universal remotes with macros.

I use a Harmony 895 remote and checking the database it suggests both Sony
&
Samsung LCDs have discrete codes but I don't know if the database is
accurate and don't want to find out after I've bought the new TVs that the
codes don't work.

The Sony's do. On, off and inputs. The only niggle is that they don't power
on from an input select and don't remember their last input state. By
default they power on to tv/freeview. In my case I have to send a power on,
then 4 secs later select composite. Any faster than 4 seconds delay and it
misses the second command. In use its no real problem but I wish it could
be
slicker. I guess there may be a solution but as usual I have little time to
investigate.
