Yes, all the DVR functionality is available from the web - you can
choose from a 'remote playback' option which is a reasonably basic
app running within IE etc - OR the ViewLog application which is
downloaded and installed to your PC from the web page. This gives you
fully featured control of the log files (recorded videos) and runs as
a separate windows program. It's very powerful.
Support direct from Geovision in Taiwan is very good IME - but time
delay makes it a little slower than a UK based support option.
They've always been responsive when I've emailed them.
If you want something more - I'd suggest buying from a retailer who
offers a proven support method (i.e. not the smaller retailers who
have problems replying to sales queries let alone support
requests!!!).
