Re: Energy Saving Offer for Automated Home Readers

The UPS circuit board will draw power. Plus some power trickle
charging the batteries.
I have to admit I've never measured it.
But I bought a Maplin Power Meter recently. Code L61AQ
It's on special offer at the moment so may be worth buying.
Just looked at the power meter on the Maplin.co.uk website and it
has the intelliplug listed underneath the power meter! :-)

When I get a chance I'll measure the power drawn by various UPSs.

batteries if ALL the outputs aren't drawing any current at all and
the batteries are fully charged (OK- so I know that a PC will
continue to draw some power in the off state - but lets ignore that
for the moment)? I presume there's a trickle charging going on
continually?
