Ho Yin,

I know you said no =91systems=92 but I would recommend the Rafiki Twin
Flex=
.

A simple run of FP200, fire resistant cable, in a Bus arrangement is all
th=
at is needed. I then connect the panel i/p and o/p to Homeseer using a
VIOM=
. The detectors are switchable to Smoke / Heat or Both and have built in
so=
unders (adjustable tone level etc.)

The panel provides relay contacts, Supply healthy, Each Zone Alarm, Fire
A=
lrm, also allows remote control using dry contacts, Evacuate, Chime (Class
=
change (remember school days))
=20
It is worth considering.

Are there any single unit smoke alarms that can be linked to a home
automation program?
i.e. Homeseer?
I intend to install a couple of smoke alarms in hard to get areas -
Node 0, loft and kitchen.
I want to be able to monitor them from my server and perhaps an email
or notification given to me if there is a malfunction or the unit has
run out of batteries? Or to reset the unit should the alarm go off?
Is there anything like this? I don't need a whole house systems with
status board etc etc.
Thanks,
Ho yin
