...and of course the Windows XP installation CD that is in the current
Action Pack isn't a full installation CD either - just another
"upgrade" CD.

Thank feck I still have my full XP install CD from last years' Action Pack.

Spec is a bit light but a clean install of RC2 ran fine.

Upgrade a simple fresh XP SP2 install using business that came in the
Action

Pack and it runs like a dog - so far have not found out why - might need to
wait until I can get hold of an MSDN Vista copy. A bit cross that Action
Pack is making it so difficult !
