Well, I guess I'm biased - I work for Domia (sys-admin and software
developer) - but IMO, it *is* better than the older x-10 stuff.

Range is definitely better & it's less susceptible to noise on the
power
line.

if you care about such things, they're also a little prettier (I'm thinking
of the plug-in modules). The push-button for programming can also be used
for local control of the device - which is a plus.

I'll not ramble on - - hopefully someone else (not involved with the
company) can share their experiences - - I know I'd prefer a "3rd
party"
opinion before buying equipment :-)
