RE: Automated curtains
Hi Jim, can not help you much with this but I was thinking of using a
home
made system using kit from http://www.mfacomodrills.com/
Good luck,
B.

Subject: [ukha_d] Automated curtains
Has anyone had experience automating tracked poles?
We are looking to change our existing manual poles (simple sliding
ring-type) to something that is automated, but want to keep the pole style
so don't want the hidden Autoglide-type tracks.
Having a good Google-around I can find plenty of "tracked poles"
with an
inset track, many with continuous-loop draw cords, but none have any form
of
automation.
However what I have found is a couple of add-on units that are effectively
a
pulley & motor attached to the bottom loop of the draw cord.

Does anyone have experience of these, or can suggest alternatives?
