Indeed, not all DIN rail is the same.

AFAIK, there are two main types and four or five in total.

The most common is known as Top-Hat section. There's also min top hat
and deep top hat.

The older, less used type is G-section and that is also available as
Mini-G.

However, these days, when someone mentions DIN rail, it's generally
taken they mean Top-Hat, unless they specify otherwise.
