Hi Chaps,

I used to run quite happily on a VIA board, but my camera card seemed to be
incompatible with the VIA chpset, and I think the load would have been too
much. So now I am contemplating a Core2Duo board and hope for some power
optimisation or wondering whether I can go back to the MiniITX and just
start a separate CCTV machine when appropriate. Having said that, it's
quite
useful having the CCTV running all the time.

Currently I am running 2 camera on an AMD Sempron 2500+ and approx loading
is about 60%. This is with motion detect with a fine grid and automatic
buffering and picture roll.
