Wireless alarms and radio interference

Just picking up on the current theme of alarms, has anyone had
experience of using wireless alarms in a building with other RF-linked
systems such as Rako?

Also, how susceptible are they to general interference (one of my
hobbies is Amateur Radio!).

I understand different systems aren't going to talk to each other,
it's the mutual interference issue I'm concerned about.

Considering the Visonic Powermax, as I need to alarm a garage and
radio linked sensors & keypads seem to be the easiest to install.

For absolute reliability, would I be better going for a fully wired
system?

Jim
