Unfortunately you cannot connect multiple satellite receivers to a
single L=
NB output.
=20
The receivers send commands to the LNB to select Band and Polarization
with=
the use of tones and voltages. Two receivers will interfere with each othe=
rs requests and you=92ll end up very confused.
=20
You need an LNB which can provide multiple outputs, 2, 4 or now even 8.
Eff=
ectively these are separate LNBs in the same device. You will need a
separa=
te coax for each connection=85
=20
There are also other methods of distributing the signals from 1 dish / 4
wa=
y LNB to many many receivers but I don=92t think you need this.

Subject: [ukha_d] Problems using multiple Digiboxes on 1 x LNB
=20
Hi all,=20
Is it possible to use a single LNB feed across different Digiboxes=20
(Sky and Freesat)?
I've been a Sky Digital user for a while now but I recently purchased=20
a Pace DS810 HD box thinking it was a Freeview box (Ebay purchase!)
On arrival I actually found out that the Pace DS810 uses a Satelitte=20
input (so it's Freesat instead of Freeview), so I've cabled it as=20
follows :=20
Dish LNB -> Pace Freesat Input -> Pace Freesat Output -> Sky
Digital=20
Digibox
But I find now that Sky only works if the Pace DS810 box is switched=20
off. Basically if DS810 Freesat is switched on, most of the Sky=20
channels say 'No Satlitte be signal being received'.=20
I imagine this is my own misunderstanding about how satelitte services=20
work.=20
I expected that a single Dish input could be used for multiple=20
receivers, in the same way as Terrestrial over Coax.=20
Have I got this wrong ?
The workaround I thought up to this was to use some type of F-
Connector Y plug to split the Satelitte feed. Is this correct, or=20
would I have to install a second LNB, so each Digibox has a decicated=20
feed ?
Any advice would be appreciated. I'm sure I could ask the same=20
question in some satelitte forum, but I'm sure there must be a few=20
people here who are more than familiar with Satelitte services!
Thanks in advance.=20
