Gardena do one which interfaces into their own system
(http://www.gardena.co.uk/catalog/index.cfm?lang=uk
and navigate to
"Soil Moisture Sensor" in the right hand menu window) and I
*think*
you can get a 1-Wire humidity sensor, which may work if buried in
soil. What make of irrigation system do you have?
