Would be nice but no doubt some nonce in Belgium will legislate against
that...

Not such a huge requirement in my book but yes, would be nice.

Well, LEDs are dimmable but not using the same leading / trailing edge
dimming technologies as existing incandescent bulbs ...=20

Yup - for =A325 that 5W Cree has a light output of "Up to 250 Lumen
(Same a=
s
40 watts standard bulb)" - does anyone use 40w bulbs nowadays? One
year
warranty? On a =A325 LED "bulb"? Whooho!

Also, does anyone else think that it looks bloody ugly? I wonder how much
energy and resource goes into making one of those compared to a more
conventional bulb?

Bwahahaha!

I have to say that I don't like the light colour for the LEDs I've seen
either ...=20

Personally I still like 12v halogens ... I've seen far too many GU10s fail
and either take out electronic dimmers or actually explode (that thick
piec=

of glass at the front of the bulb makes quite an impressive dent in
things!=
)
to feel at ease around them.=20
