Re: External PIRS

Marc,

The best external PIRs are by GJD. The Elite model is the one to get.

Subject: [ukha_d] External PIRS

Hey Guys,

I'm about to replace my X10 external floodlight (PR7211) with an
external PIR and a powerflash module and a standard floodlight. The
only trouble is, I am having problems sourcing a cheap external PIR
that will work with the powerflash module. I've looked at the cheapo
PIR's that B&Q sell etc, but they all switch mains voltage rather than
having an input/output contact.

The PR7211 is good, but I find that it's day/night sensor (even at
max) is not very good. A bit of bad weather during the day or even a
little cloud and the damn thing still operates :(

Anyone have any sources ? I believe I need an external normally open PIR.

Thanks

Marc
