This is a well known issue, I have tried grease and vaseline with varying

I have also found that domes don=92t seem to suffer in the same way.=20

One thing I have found which you may get some mileage from is to
disconnect=
the IR leds in the camera. This may sound odd, but when I did this I got t=
he best night time images I had ever seen. Basically with the IR leds
insid=
e the glass some IR reflects back in and the camera thinks it brighter
outs=
ide than it really is.

It should be noted that I do have some external lighting so I guess in a
co=
mpletely unlit area this may not work.
