Re: Boiler / Wiring - Emergency response needed from a spark etc



Having spoken with Chris, it would seem that he has a 3-port valve aka
Y-plan.

The "boiler" on the first floor is the DHWS cylinder

I've sent him a wiring diagram and an explanation of how the system works.

Hopefully, this should resolve his problems and provide a nice warm
house and shower for his SWMBO to move in to tomorrow :-)

Anyone installing a new system would do well to avoid the Y Plan and go
for two x 2-port valves aka the S-Plan, or better still, zone the
upstairs and downstairs with an additional 2-port valve, known as the
S-plan Plus.
