While I=92d like to go as far as Crestron or AMX I don=92t think I
want to =
spend
that much. However, a cinema is planned and I might have to upgrade my good
old black & white Pronto to something a little more swish ;-)

I think my guide would be that CBUS is fine in terms of price/benefit but
I=92d struggle to justify a =A310,000 video server!!

=20

I like the idea of touchscreens in each room =96 I was thinking about
installing a whole-house Opus AV distribution system (I=92ve a friend who
h=
as
an Opus Octopus) and I think touch-screens are a standard part, but
obviously this is quite proprietary. Would be good to have a generic
touchscreen to control a number of house systems.

But how much is carte blanche? I've probably spent something like =A340k
ov=
er
the years and whilst I've ended up with a great system, it's still not the
really high end stuff like Crestron, AMX etc...

Well mounted, good looking touch screens are the one thing I'd really want
=
-
in every room and several places in some rooms + wireless versions for sofa
sitting.

Paul.
