I use this
http://www.letsauto
<http://www.letsautomate.com/10062.cfm?>
mate.com/10062.cfm?

I would strongly recommend you get all your IR receivers/transmitters from
smarthome.com - safe yerself a fortune (esp. the emitters - couple of quid
- http://www.smarthom
<http://www.smarthome.com/8170s.html>
e.com/8170s.html). I got my LCD friendly receiver
from there too.

Only thing is - even tho i have shielded cable for it all, it's still
flaky towards the evening - can be frustrating. Why cant we have an
intelligent IR - one that reads the binary signal, send it as digital
data, and the resends/recevies the ir at the other end.

Anyway, it sort of works. Even Phil couldnt figure out exactly how to
resolve this.

Nice photos Gareth

Which Xantech gear did you go with? I'm leaning towards the 490-95KIT
<http://www.letsauto
<http://www.letsautomate.com/12133.cfm>
mate.com/12133.cfm>
http://www.letsauto
<http://www.letsautomate.com/12133.cfm?>
mate.com/12133.cfm? as it looks to be most discreet.
Anyone have any views on the reliability of this or other recommendations?

Cheers,
Pedro

That was into 1930's concrete blocks, they are not thermalite. They
look like they are made of coal slag!
