I do this with CBUS - but anyting that controls a relay such as
Comfort or
just plain vanilla X10 (nice and cheap) will do exactly the same

[ukha_d] automated central heating
.
Category:

Hello,

I'd like to automate the central heating, really I'd like to be able
to send a text message or e-mail home to switch it on before I get
back. Are there any CH controllers that allow easy interfacing?

I know I could put a relay in parallel, but I'm wondering if there are
any solutions available out of a box and not too expensive?

I've looked through the archives and not found anything. I've heard
Comfort mentioned, though I think it falls in the too expensive
category. Do they have a web site where I could learn more?

Thanks.
