Hi John
It is the line that drops out. With the default settings it could be
resetting every few minutes with a SNR of 5 - 5.5. Changes to Codinggain
parameter now means that the minimum SNR is around 9-10 which has made
things much better but I still rarely get more than 24 hours without a line
reset. If I plug in a spare router it seems to be fine, no line dropouts
for
more than 3 days, faster sync speeds even with quite low SNR values. This
seems to suggest an issue with the Vigor. If there were not so many posts
on
the Draytek forums about similar problems I would have suspected a router
fault. I am some distance from the exchange, my Loop Att. Is 57, and
currently the router has synced at 2.5M with a SNR of 9.5, and the Vigor
has
been connected for 12 hours following a power cut last night.

Neil,
Is the Vigor rebooting or is the ADSL line resetting? The reason for
asking is that I have a 2600G that has been running fine for a number of
years, I also have ADSL Max (for around 4 months). For the last two
weeks the service level on the line has been dreadful which the maximum
connection time of about 15 minutes before it resets, sometime it does
even make a minute. After various diagnostic test both by myself and my
ISP it appears that it is a line or exchange fault so it has been passed
to BT.
