RE: [OT] Web n Walk T-Mobile

Guys

Has anyone considered the new SE P990i or even the M600i.

I personally prefer having a keypad to make calls and text, then using the
touch screen for the PDA stuff.

I know it is not available on T-Mobile, but I recently bought a generic
unlocked P990i and was thinking of getting a T-Mobile Web n Walk package
from buymobilephones.net (they give up to 7 months free line rental on a
Relax 35 Web n Walk tariff, which more than offsets the cost of the phone)
and using the P990i on there, at the moment I'm using my Orange sim and
want
to move as they don't have a fixed price data package.

It has ActiveSync which syncs and pushes email from our organisations Ex2K3
server, working on either WiFi, 3G or GPRS depending on location.

Regards screen protectors, I cannot recommend the Martin Fields brand
enough, morpethmobiles seem cheapest at the moment, but it is important
that
these are fitted properly or the results can be terrible.

Just a thought, Marchino

FYI the MDA Vario II has just popped back onto the T-Mobile again

I'm in the same situation as you Ho Yin.

I'm just a little hesitant as I'm switching from S60 and am unsure about
the stability of WM5,
and it's ease of single handed use - Stop Sniggering at the back ;)

Considering getting the T - Mobile Web 'n' Walk tarrif.

Could someone advise whether the Vario II is still the best phone to go
for?

Are the connection speeds good? Can I have it on all the time or
checking
emails every 5 mins automatically via pop3? Does it work well with MSN
messenger?

I assume there are no problems with it running TomTom 6?

I currently have a Orange M600, but am frustrated with GPRS's slow and
flaky
internet connections.

Any advice and best places to buy and best tarrif to use appreciated.

Regards,

Ho yin
