I had a read of the specs - very impressive.  And then I had a read of
the forums, and that's when the urge to buy one started to fade.  I have
a collection of DVDs ripped and stored on my server (as VOBs and IFOs
etc, rather than ISOs), but there are a lot of reports of stuttering
playback with these.

In addition, it appears that despite the claim of mpeg4 playback in the
specs, it can't actually do it (the chip they use doesn't support it).

It's a shame, because I thought this might be "the one" :-(

(I also didn't see any mention of control other than by the remote - a
bit of a major ommision for us HAers!)
