Any other colour will tint the light. Could be a good thing or bad.

If you are looking at RGB lighting, then any sort of tint would absorb some
of the colour and bounce others better.

In my home cinema room I used blue led down lighters. With white led
downlighters if I was eating in there. If I actually really need some light
then I have some regular halogens in the center. (Only problem is that they
are in a metal housing and when the sub hits a resonant frequency they
rattle!)

At the moment they are controlled with X-10, but am looking at more
flexible
control.
