Amazing what a good nights sleep and some time away from a problem can
do to resolve a problem.
I have now got it working perfectly just by trial and error. A
combination of authentication methods, (Basic, Integrated and Anonymous)
and SSL or not SSL on the three subject Exchange virtual directories
\Exchange \OMA \ActiveSync
I guess at some point I should make a nice document of how this is all
set up, and stick it on a webpage somewhere, as I might be able to
assist someone who was thrashing about like I have been for the last
couple of evenings!
