But - I won't be doing any installation, so the solution would need to be
an 'off the shelf', easy to setup and use, plug it in and go solution :)

A friend of mine want's a central PC MP3 server with a device in each room
(a beauty salon) to play streamed music. The device in each room would need
a speaker output (or even have speakers built-in). The cost also has to be
low-ish.

We're not even sure if she want's to actually play different music in each
room, so a distributed speaker system might even do - but a separate system
would obviously give more flexibility.

What are the options?
