Looking at the web page, the unit is based around a chip from Prolific
and
presubable uses their drivers. I currently use a similar thing (just a
single port) and find the Prolific software very good. It not only keeps
the
same COM port between reboots, also assigns a COM ports to specific USB
ports, so as long as you plug the converter into the same USB port, you
always get the same COM port.
