And a warm welcome, It is recommended you take a look at the Automated
Homes
install pages for help on this. Get yourself a Cat5 AV distribution system
as this will help with upgrades and the such at a later date (and keeps all
the different cables down to a minimum).



I guess you are thinking of using a Home Theatre PC to distribute Music and
Video (this is quite a good topic at the moment). Keith Doxey has some
great
little Kat5 devices that help distribute AV across Cat5. take a look on

Hi folks - quick intro as newbie to group. I'm
renovating a house in wilts, and looking primarily at
home entertainment throughout, with an eye on
automation but not high on the list just due to
budget.

Any good guides with schematics would be greatly
appreciated.
