RE: [OT] Windows XP & Multiple Monitors

With all this talk of screen, I've got a question....my boss wants 2
screen
on his desk, (side by side on a dual-mount stand), but he uses a laptop
with
a single VGA output. What's the cheapest way to drive 2 screens? I've
found a PCMCIA -> PCI converter, but it's mega-bucks, there must be an
easier way?

Thanks, Pete

Sorry to be pedantic but to run 5760 x 3600, you would need 9 of those Dell
2405FPW's I would think.

It's still more than enough desktop space that you have methinks .. I
'survive' on just the one 2405FPW.

It's a great monitor

All the best

Dave

Yes it will!

I've run various configurations:

Matrox Parhelia with dual monitors and a PCI Matrox G450 running a third -
all at 1920x1200 res. The PCI card is quite sluggish for anything but 2D
apps though.

My main PC currently runs a NVIDIA 7800 GTX (expensive!) with 2 x Dell
2405FPW 1920x1200 and an NVIDA 6600GT with a third Dell 2405FPW at
1920x1200. If I turn one off, it's like losing an arm or leg!

Total screen res is 5760 x 3600 !

Paul.
