It's worth pointing out here that HDMI/HDCP will allow content
companies to
enforce this level of control trivially.
The example of Sky not being really legal to pipe around your house on
composite - just wait a couple of years until HDMI is well rooted, and they
will shut off the analog ports altogether.
At that stage, HDCP will allow them to prevent (for example) playing a
movie
in two rooms at once, without paying for the privilege.

That's very well put Mark. Sums the current situation up perfectly imo
I wonder how long it will be before a "virtual copper" pops up on
our
screens, just like that virtual bill oddie the bbc use ;-)
