If anyone is interested, I have found a utility which will let me
extract
frames from geovisions generated files, this then allows me, as an example,
to take one of their files, grab 20 frames 1 second apart (all
configurable)
and display on a website (saves to jpeg (configurable), you can specify
size, also configurable).

dont have details at work at present, but can supply if interested partys
