Defeats the object of the upgrade ! Guess there will be some mobos
coming
out that allow for this but I cant be ased to google.

DDR2 plus a seriously solid processor is why AMD AM2 is now at a crippling
disadvantage.

Buy an E6600 @2.4ghz which is looking like the best bang for buck and use
the saved cash to buy some DDR2 sticks.

As we are in the easy phases of release - quality mobos may not be around
so
again you might have to fork out a fair bit for a crappy Intel board.

I personally was thinking :

E6600 + Intel Extreme D975bx + some DDR2
