Re: Weather stations?

As a question to the group is there any advantage to having your own
weather station verse taking a general forecast for the region from bbc etc
or someone elses local weather station?

I'll admit I'm tempted but I'm trying to understand the advantages of
spending x pounds and how this factors back to HA (lower heating if hot
outside?)

TIA,

Alan.
