Re: Ultrasonic range finder - BULK BUY?
I don't think its the Ultrasonic that I can hear but a repeated
clicking
which I think is as the carrier is pulsed ON or OFF to fire and time the
return path. 40Khz is quite a high frequency - and almost twice outside
the best human range. What I'm guessing maybe done on more capable
systems is to insert a marker in the Ultrasonic carrier so that it can
run continually but still have a time reference, two reports now that
these units don't click so that's good.
I'm looking at the possibility of a single sensor diagonal (in the
horizontal plane) at a doorway - hopefully giving direction and
entry/exit info.
