Hi all,

BT came today to my home to install a second line for my office
broadband but despite being left instructions failed to do what was
asked.

In my downstairs cloakroom is where my hub and patch panel is
located along with a few mains sockets. This is where I wanted my
adsl router to be located. The note to BT simply asked them to
install the new socket in the marked location (marked with a big red
X). What they did is pinched one of my unterminated cat 5 leads,
wired the new incoming line to this using a small white BT marked
junction box then put the new socket on the end of this cable up in
my den. I didn't want this!!

Can I open up their junction box, attach cat 5 on top and install
the another BT socket where it should have been in the first place?
I'd therefore have two sockets. One in the den and one in the
cloakroom.

TIA
Darren
