So it doesn't dial out / sms without the monitoring service at =A35 month?

I don't suppose the x-10 I/F is RS232 or something that could be connected
to a Com Port?

I have one and it does what it says. You do not necessarily have to sign
up=
=20
for the monitoring service, but if you want to be notified of an alarm=20
condition, obviously you do. Very easy to set up, and there is an X10=20
interface that you can get for it, but I have yet to explore that route=20
(sorry Craig ;)).

I bought mine on eBay for =A380, except it came with an additional PIR and

fob

(IIRC).
