Just catching up with this one - i would second Noels thoughts..

Got mine last Friday now fully programmed and working an absolute treat -
i've got it doing the following.

Sky+
Yamaha Amp
Pioneer Plasma
Pansonic DVD-R
DAB Radio
CBus Lighting (which was already in their database !!)
Digital Picture Frame

Plus actvities for :

Plasma & Amp on/off - Input switching
DAB Radio & Amp switching
Plasma & Amp switching for HTPC

Took around 5 hours in total but very worth while.

I've retired my BW Pronto for it.

Thanks Noel.  I've been reading avforums, and the main benefit appears to

that its SWMBO-friendly.  Out of interest, does the charging base run off a
wall-wart?  I ask as I'm in the US in a couple of weeks, so might think
about picking up an 880 whilst out there, though my first googles don't
sho=
w
them as being a whole lot cheaper (for once), plus I lose some teletext
buttons, not that I care about that.

yep the 895 is the top dog now! just adds an rf ability to it I believe!

what to say....the 885 is fantastic...is it worth the extra dosh over
the others?!?! hmm thats a hard one! i paid =A3130 inc delivery from
.....cclonline i think it was, not sure i was looking at a few prices
very close together, may have been them or scan not sure.

i love having the docking station to charge it in and i love the
colour display, having channel logos to go directly to a channel is
superb!

activities based setup is top notch, very specific tweaking is
possible, but as has been said it can be a little tedious the database
has near as damn it everything but if there's anything it hasnt got
then support will take a pronto ccf file and add it for you and set it
all up.  they are truly fantastic i'd buy it for the support alone!

I like the rechargeable battery and knowing its a cool remote with
nice graphics that even my mum can use!!
