Hi Andy,

Yeah, I think you're probably right... because of course it will also
depend on exactly what motherboard has been fitted & thereby the
precise positioning of the various components. I'm using this case
primarily because it just happened to come spare following an upgrade to
SWMBO's PC, but when we originally specified this case it was because it's
a bit larger than most "shuttle" size cases, and therefore has
more room inside for airflow etc. Also attractive was that it takes
standard microATX boards, rather than a custom board like most of these
"shuttle" style cases & thus provides quite a bit more scope
for component selection. Lastly, the PSU on this case is alleged to be a
particularly quiet one... (according to Antec anyway).

I've also conservatively chosen a low/mid range CPU (2GHz Celery) to try to
keep the heat down as well, with the motherboard I've got in it,
(GigaByte), the CPU is positioned just in front of the PSU, and behind the
drive cage. It appears to have clear space above it, so I think I'll be OK
with a tall HSF, but I can't be sure about the clearance around it...

My brother's got one of these cases running as a MCE PC, unfortunately he
seems to keep having heat problems with it and seems to end up running it
with the lid off. I guess the real problem is that there's not much room in
the case and the mass of cables screw up the air flow.

Best bet may be to hang fire for a week and find out how big a heatsink you
can fit in it and then but the biggest one that will fit.
