It depends what options you have removing the data from your PVR. I use a
USB cable to copy it directly off the unit. VideoReDo is able to convert
that raw file into an MPG file, which I could then burn to DVD or VCD using
pretty much any burning software capable of producing a Video DVD or VCD.
The quality is exactly the same as when it leaves the TV broadcasting
aerial - there's no losses in the process.

Cheers,
Andy

Subject: [ukha_d] Burning Freeview recordings to DVD

Hello all,

Does anyone have any experience of burning recordings from Freeview that
they wish to share?

A friend of mine was on tv a couple of weeks ago, and I'd like to give
him the program he was in on DVD that he can watch in his standalone
player.. However, getting the Freeview MPEG2 from my PVR to a DVD
compatible format doesn't seem to be easy. I'd be interested in
software recommendations, ideally cheap or free as this exercise is a
one off gift.

Finally, is the final DVD of good enough quality to be watchable?

Many thanks,

Simon
