Sort of. It does keyword searching on the EPG. You set a keyword (can
be multiple words, and even basic RegEx), a set of channels to search
on, days/dates/times to search, and it finds anything suitable. You
only set this once, like Tivo, and it works really well. As the EPG
available over the air doesn't give episode numbers, you can't stop it
recording the same episode twice. It does record things that have
similar names though, which Tivo didn't. I believe there's a TAP that
interfaces with Digiguide on your PC via the USB cable and provides full
season pass functionality. That doesn't interest me though, as I just
delete duplicates. It's not so obvious in use as Tivo (I had to train
SWMBO), but now she knows which button to get the list of recorded
programs, and which button to set a "season pass", she's fine.

I went to http://www.toppy.org.uk
and read through the list of TAPs
available. I just downloaded and installed the ones I wanted. Dead
easy. It takes much longer to migrate the season passes. I used Jag's
EPG to get the season pass functionality. There are other TAPs for
various things including skinning the EPG.

Cheers,
Andy
