RE: Passive baluns for CCTV over CAT5

I=92d had similar thoughts but despite extensive googling had failed
to
find the components.

Those fellas soldered onto a couple of bits of wire, whilst not ideal,
at =A33.50 a go, would appear to do the job.
=20
Might get a bag sent over, anyone want to share the carriage?

Subject: [ukha_d] Passive baluns for CCTV over CAT5

Hi all,

This question was asked last week by someone else but with no=20
answers as far as I'm aware.

Does anyone know of a source of video balun transformers to make=20
into DIY leads? Given that most of the commercial ones are just a=20
transformer in a box with some connectors I thought it might be=20
better to do away with the connectors and the box... :-)

I've searched a bit and all I could come up with is=20
HYPERLINK "http://tinyurl.com/8xvuz"http://tinyurl.com/8xvuz
who
although are .co.uk are actually in Oz.

I'm handy enough with a soldering iron, and have even wound=20
motors/transformers in my time, but am not sure where I would start=20
in specifying a balun transformer.

Any help gratefully received,

Thanks

Pete
