Thanks, but nothing unusual in the Hosts file (just localhost and the
office
Exchange server).

Suggest checking your hosts file, as it might have a rogue entry.
Some viruses muck around with it to block access to specific sites and
it's
possible something is having a laugh by sending screwfix to machinemart!
It will be under \windows or \winnt depending on your windows version,
just
search for a file called "hosts" (no extension).
On a home system, the only line that would normally be in there (apart
from
the
header comments starting #) is:
127.0.0.1 localhost

When I try to get to www.screwfix.com <http://www.screwfix.com
<http://www.screwfix.com> > , IE6
redirects to www.machinemart.co.uk <http://www.machinemart.co.uk
<http://www.machinemart.co.uk>
> ,
apparently via (according to the status bar) www.dgm2.com
<http://www.dgm2.com
<http://www.dgm2.com> > . I've run
Spybot S&D,
checked
for any rogue add-ins,
but nothing. Every other page is responding as it should, it just seems
to
be Screwfix that's affected. Other PC's in the house are fine. Nothing
has
been loaded recently installed.
Any ideas? It's really annoying.
Pete
