I use the Zwave ZCU010, purchased from from Lets Automate. It is
supposed to be bi-directional, so it should work.

However, the way you seem to have to set it up is convoluted in the
extreme. It only seems to be able to get data about z-wave modules
from the z-wave remote controller, and you seem to only be
able to set the remote controller to recognise modules if they are
physically present. It is a truly horrible system, but it does work
where x10 doesn't.

Someone more knowledgable may have a better answer.
