Really depends on what you want to do but a typical setup would be:

Geovision card in a PC
Cat5 to each location to provide video and power to each camera (RJ45
passive balun each end)
Camera's - plenty of sources and lots of types so depends on what you are
looking for.

Lots of previous threads on this if you have a look through the archives.

confused - too much to choose from & not really HA focussed ... wonder
if Cat-5 would be good enough, too, or would it have to be co-ax ?
