Yes, if you wanted it to ;)

The aux contact will appear as a different sensor (different ID code), so
you don't need to add this to the panel.

If you do add it to the panel, then you could try to add it as a
'non-alarm'
response type, this should enable you to have the melody chime enabled,
'ding-dong' :)
