I did this solo and without a meter. I worked out a point on the
horizon that was the right angle for the dish and then pointed the dish at
it. Naturally it was a complete non-starter. I eventually ended up with
the TV set balanced on the shed roof (from where I could see it from up my
ladder) and used the signal strength indicator to find the signal. Took
about 10 minutes and worked fine - I was surprised by how small the
movements were to go from full signal to no signal.
Pity there is never anything good broadcast on it!
