[OT]? Boiler oil usage

  • Subject: [OT]? Boiler oil usage

I have a 3 zone heating system in the house, downstairs, upstairs and
hot
water all run from a common boiler.

The following figures are completely hypothetical. Lets say that running
downstairs for an hour uses a litre of oil, running upstairs for an hour
uses a litre of oil, and running the hot water for an hour uses a litre of
oil when all are run independently.

In that scenario running the 3 programs in a row would use about 3 litres
of
oil.

If I have all 3 zones on together for an hour, will the system use
approximately 3 litres of oil? Is that a good estimate, or is it more
likely
to be a completely different figure?

Any thoughts appreciated!

Regards

Simon
